After Aug, 2010 , Yee survived like this way........
This photo taken one year after the hostage event. She had already done many surgeries after injury, split tibia bone to transplant to her chin to instead of her mandible and transferred muscle , subcutaneous tissue and skin to cover exposure bone. Unfortunately, all of them were not fully successful. The planted bone shrank, muscle skin contracted .Yee couldn't open her mouth, bite either. Her mom scissored all food to small pieces before she ate. Every single meal took an hour.Even more, some fistulas formed , always discharge drained out, gauze covered needed all the time. What a suffer!!
